Preliminary conclusion is that it’s caused by the clicking the upgrade icon here.
Solution offered by obdiitool.co.uk engineer:
Please don’t click the upgrade icon, otherwise it will update.
Besides that, please change the file name “AddOnCenter.exe” to “AddOnCenter.ex_”, then it will not update automatically. After modifying, restart the computer.
