What protocols does the GM MDI 2 support?

I bought a cheap one and it only worked with usb. The wired network and wifi did not work. In fact, the card flash socket was missing from the board. Build quality was not to bad. I just use it to flash newer pcm/ecm's.

How to fix GM MDI GDS Tech2 Win HDD Blue Screen Error
Recently, some customers gave feedbacks that it turned to blue screen when use GM MDI GDS tech2 Win software HDD. Here share one customer’s related problem and offer the solution from obdiitool.co.uk.
I have just swapped gm mdi hard drive into another laptop and it does exactly the same. Windows cannot boot up at all, it just appears blue screen with some information pop up as shown in the picture below.
